The winery is located in the basin of the Douro River and into it flows the Támega River, which crosses the Monterrei region from north to south.

It has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters. The area presents considerable thermal oscillations, of up to 30º during the ripening season.

As for the soils, in the region of Monterrei three types of soils are present: Slate and schistose, Granitic and Sandy and Sedimentary.
The result of the granitic and sandy soils, coming from the degradation of granitic rocks with low pH and suitable for white wines. is the white wine Godello D.O.Monterrei

The banks of the river Avia, a tributary of the river Miño, on its passage through the county of Beade (Ourense), create a unique microclimate for winemaking. The river moderates the winter frost and the intense summer heat. Its banks of granite rock, and its recesses with multiple orientations, make the perfect equation to create a great wine.

In this enclave made for viticulture, there is a small family winery. For several generations, using Treixadura (80%) and Godello (20%) grapes, they have produced this excellent Ribeiro Designation of Origin white wine. Using practically artisanal methods to obtain a very solid wine, with a balanced palate and sensations of fineness and delicacy.

The result of the slaty and schistose soils, suitable during times of drought, is the aromatic red wine Mencía D.O.Monterrei

This after-dinner drink is a must in Galician meals. Made by traditionally distilling the Terra de Preguntas Ribeira Sacra Mencía grape pomace. It is steeped with natural roast Colombian coffee and local citrus fruit that give it light acid hues. This combination produces a coffee liqueur with a very intense aroma and a blend of citrus flavours.

These cockles from the Muros-Noia ría are harvested using traditional methods and selected by hand during the months from October to January. In this way, only the largest and best-quality cockles are chosen for canning. The scarcity and uniqueness of this product is what makes it so special. The intense flavour of this mollusc leaves it needing little else to be one of the flagship products of gourmet preserves. The cockles are washed in sea water to prevent them from losing their essence and are then cooked, shelled and canned by hand to be enjoyed in their natural state, with the incredible and exceptional flavour only provided by select and unique Galician products such as this.

Authentic Galician rapini from the Ordes area, with the characteristic, native oval-shaped leaf that has been passed down from generation to generation. Its artisan preparation consists of blanching the rapini and later packing it leaf by leaf by hand, and sterilising it for just the right amount of time to ensure a gourmet preserve maintaining the full flavour and properties provided by this Galician vegetable. A totally artisan and natural product, with no preservatives or additives, just rapini, water, salt and flavour, lots of flavour.

Excellent giant mussels from the Muros-Noia ría, where they are grown using artisanal methods, waiting patiently until they reach optimum maturity, which enables them to grow to such an extraordinary size. Terra de Preguntas’ mussels in pickle sauce are grown in the Muros-Noia ría, where they undergo a maturing process for the time necessary to ensure they reach the required size and achieve the optimum result. After harvesting, the mussels are processed using artisanal methods, where they are washed in sea water, cooked and then marinated in a traditional pickle sauce made from natural ingredients: olive oil, vinegar, onion, garlic and spices. This brings out the original flavour of the Galician mussel with pickle sauce, guaranteeing a gourmet preserve with an exceptional taste.

Arousa Estuary has perfect salinity, incredible sandbanks, and is protected from bad weather, making it one of the best habitats for mollusc farming. This is where they select the best raw material, the first step to obtain excellent razor clams of the highest quality.

The product is prepared using artisan methods, and is purified and steamed; it is then washed with warm salt water to enhance its flavour, then the razor clams are de-shelled one by one to keep them whole and packed by hand. They are covered in olive oil, providing a soft texture, and they are preserved without additives or preservatives.

The San Simón da Costa cow's cheese is a soft textured, semi-hard cheese, which has an exclusive and prominent flavour.

Made in the province of Lugo from cow's milk from the Frisian, Alpine Brown and Galician Blonde breeds, this cheese from the San Simón da Costa Designation of Origin has an intense tradition in Galicia. The region of Terra Chá is where these characteristic cheeses are made following a traditional recipe from using the best raw materials.

In addition to the excellent raw materials, the main characteristic of this cheese is that it has been smoked with native birch wood from the Galician forests, and has been matured for 200 days unlike the other cheeses, accentuating its very particular flavour and aroma.

New Terra de Questions chorizos, more quality, more artisan and traditional.

The know-how accumulated over the years in the traditional slaughters of the Galician villages is reflected in these chorizos made in the province of Lugo, from premium pigs fed base of corn flour, cereals, vegetables, vegetables and seasonal fruits.

Once selected the meat is marinated with a combination of spices, with paprika as the main flavour, giving it its characteristic red colour. 

It is stuffed in natural pig gut, and smoke cured in a traditional way, giving it its characteristic flavour, which perfectly balances the product's own spiciness. Ideal for serving both raw and boiled or grilled, it is a very succulent piece of exquisite flavour, with a pleasant texture that is not greasy.

This product is free of colourings and additives.

It is presented in packs of 5 vacuum packed units, so that you can keep them for a long period of time while maintaining all their aroma and flavor.
